From Sunday 1 March 2026, some Uber Boat by Thames Clippers fares will change. While most ticket types will see a price increase, season tickets and the Cross River fare will remain frozen to help regular travellers.
Fares that are staying the same
Season Tickets – frozen for the 4th year
Great news for regular commuters: all season ticket prices (weekly, monthly, and annual) remain unchanged across all river zones.
Why choose a season ticket?

- Journeys from as little as £1.65 per trip;
- Annual tickets effectively give you 2 months free travel.
Season tickets are available exclusively via the Thames Clippers Tickets app.
Cross River Fare
Cross the Thames affordably between these piers:
- Rotherhithe ↔ Canary Wharf
- Greenland (Surrey Quays) ↔ Canary Wharf
- Barking Riverside ↔ Woolwich (Royal Arsenal)
Even better value: Buy a Cross River Carnet (£57.40) and pay just £2.87 per crossing – that’s 53% cheaper than a single East Zone ticket.

Fares that are increasing
Single and Return Tickets
Standard single and return fares will increase from 1 March across all zones.
How to pay less: Buy online or via the Thames Clippers Tickets or Uber app and save up to 33% compared to buying at ticket offices or self-service kiosks.
Hop-on Hop-off Tickets
Unlimited all-day travel with flexible sightseeing across all zones. A Family ticket allows up to three children (aged 5–15) to travel for free with two paying adults. Children 4 and under travel free as standard.
How to pay less: Book at least 7 days in advance on our website for 25% off the walk-up price.
We also offer a 2-day Hop-on Hop-off ticket and an East Zone Hop-on Hop-off.
Commuter AM Ticket
Perfect for occasional weekday commuters travelling before 09:30. Save 25% compared to Oyster/Contactless pay-as-you-go. Available exclusively on the Thames Clippers Tickets app.
Flexible Carnets
Our 4, 6, 10, and 20-ticket carnets will increase in price but continue to offer great value and flexibility.
The savings:
- With a 10-ticket carnet you’re getting 10 single tickets for the price of 8;
- With a 20-ticket carnet you’re getting 20 single tickets for the price of 15.
